Your role:

As the Faculty Leader for Humanities, you will provide professional leadership and management for the department, ensuring high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and improved standards of learning and achievement for all learners. You will be accountable for leading, managing, and developing all aspects of educational provision within the department, raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners. You will hold Subject Leaders to account for learner progress within their subjects and develop and enhance the quality of teaching among all staff within the department. Additionally, you will ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for learners studying in the department.

You will be part of a dynamic and supportive community committed to excellence in education. You will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team of educators, contribute to the academy’s Continuing Professional Development cycle, and play a key role in shaping the future of humanities education. The academy offers a collaborative environment where innovative approaches to teaching and learning are encouraged, and where your professional growth is supported through ongoing training and development opportunities.
