Teaching Assistant- Level 2 Permanent Position Initially in Reception
30 hours per week to start as soon as possible (part time/job share will be considered)
Salary Scale 2 5-6 (£21,575 – £21,968) Pro rata – Term-time only. (Actual salary approx £16,600 to £16,950 per annum)
We are seeking to appoint caring teaching assistants to join our committed, professional and friendly team. The role will include supporting children 1:1 and in small groups and will contribute to raising standards of achievement for all pupils. Initially, the successful candidate will be part of the Reception team.
The role would be suitable for candidates who are looking to begin their career in education as well as those with experience. Whilst this is a full-time position we would also welcome applications from suitable candidates requesting part-time or a job share opportunity.
We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who:
have experience in or a desire to work in Early Years
have experience of successfully supporting children with communication and interaction needs (including ASD) or a desire to do so
We would expect all level two teaching assistants to:
have a good rapport with children and be able to engage them in learning
have high expectations for pupils’ work and behaviour
promote the aims and values of the school
work flexibly as part of a team with drive and passion to ensure that all children achieve
be willing and able to share good practice and learn from others
The successful candidate will be expected to meet all aspects of the job description.
