We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and committed to supporting those students who have additional needs. Experience is desirable but not essential, we are looking for someone who is patient and able to relate to students in a calm, supportive and positive manner.  Every day is different, so we need someone who is resilient and works well as part of a team.

The Learning Support Base is a study space for SEND students who are not attending a full curriculum, this may be just for a couple of lessons a week or more frequent depending upon need and circumstance. This space allows students time to catch up with core subjects and other work, using both online and written resources, and build their confidence. The successful candidate will support the learning and manage the behaviour of the students within the room, ensuring high expectations are in place that mirror the rest of the school.

The Latimer Arts College is an Ofsted rated Good school with a positive reputation in the local community. Staff feel valued and supported.

The hours of duty are 8.15am to 3:10pm Monday to Friday with an unpaid break of 40 minutes each day.  Attendance at our September training days is encouraged and will be paid as overtime.

For an application form and further details, please visit the vacancies page on our website.  Alternatively, please email vacancies@latimer.org.uk

Please note we do not accept CVs as part of our application process.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.  This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
