Are you a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference to children’s learning and wellbeing? We are looking for a positive and nurturing person to join our friendly team at Teversham CE Primary School.
We are happy to consider full-time or part-time applications, and candidates with experience of, or a particular interest in, working in Early Years and Key Stage One are especially encouraged to apply.

As a Teaching Assistant at Teversham, you will work alongside teachers and other colleagues to support children to learn, develop and thrive.
The role will include:
Supporting children’s learning within the classroom, individually and in small groups
Helping to create an engaging, inclusive and well-organised learning environment
Supporting children to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
Providing additional support for children with SEND and other additional needs
Working closely with the class teacher and other colleagues to adapt activities and respond to individual needs
Supporting children’s social and emotional development and wellbeing
Helping to ensure that all children feel safe, valued and included
Contributing positively to the wider life and ethos of the school
Desirable skills and experience:
· Experience working 1-1 with pupils with learning, social, emotional and behaviour needs
· Experience working with a wide range of ages across the school
· Ability to motivate and inspire pupils
· At least grade C GCSE in both Maths and English
· TA qualification desirable but if not, willing to do the training
· The successful candidate will:
· be patient, kind and understanding and be committed to our ethos of care and support for ALL children
· be able to learn quickly, take advice and direction, as well as be proactive and use initiative
· be able to work well within a team, with strong communication skills and correct use of spoken English
· be flexible and willing to support all children of different ages across the school, including at lunch times
· be committed to supporting all children to make progress
· be able to support the Christian ethos of the school
· have full DBS clearance and meet all safeguarding checks
