Teaching Assistant – Level 2 – Three permanent positions

30 hours per week (8.45am to 3.15pm)
Salary Scale 2, 5-6 (£25,583-£25,989pa – Pro rata)
Term time only

Are you passionate about education and eager to make a difference in the lives of children We are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our learning community. The role will include supporting children 1:1, in small groups, and working within the classroom setting, contributing to raising standards of achievement for all pupils.

The role would be suitable for candidates with experience and we would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have experience of successfully supporting children with communication and interaction needs (including ASD) or a desire to do so.

There is also an opportunity for additional hours, working as a Playworker in Morley Memorial’s after-school club on a part-time, flexible basis. This can be discussed with the successful applicant or directly with the Childcare Manager spectrum@morley.cambs.sch.uk

Purpose of the job:

* to promote the safety and well-being of pupils
* to support the classroom teacher
* to facilitate the active participation of children in the academic and social activities of the school.
* to contribute to raising standards of achievement for all pupils

We would expect all level two teaching assistants to:
* have a good rapport with children and be able to engage them in learning
* have high expectations for pupils’ work and behaviour
* promote the aims and values of the school
* work flexibly as part of a team with drive and passion to ensure that all children achieve
* be willing and able to share good practice and learn from others

The successful candidates will be expected to meet all aspects of the job description.
