Job Description
Ely St John’s Primary School is looking for a Midday Supervisor to join our team, starting as soon as possible
Hours: 6.25 per week, 12.00 -1.15pm Monday to Friday, term time only, Level 1 – point C – £3,329.70 per annum.
The role is currently for a fixed term until the end of March 2026.
Purpose of the Job:
To ensure the safety of pupils in the school during lunchtime, and to positively encourage children to make good choices by following the EJ Way (to improve healthy eating, activity levels, behaviour, inclusion, participation and/or conflict resolution).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
You will supervise pupils, during the lunch period , in the dining hall or on the playground, ensuring the safety, welfare, physical and mental well-being of pupils. You will encourage children to make good choices. Your duty is to be vigilant, to notice and praise sociable behaviour, and to intervene early and distract children to prevent problems arising.
Closing and Interview Dates:
The closing date for applications is Friday, 14th November 2025.
Interviews will be held the following week.
