School Cook

School Cook Required

We require a hard-working, enthusiastic and friendly school cook to be responsible for all aspects of our school kitchen providing high quality meals to our children.

NJC Point 11 (£14.59 per hour)

Working Hours: 27.5 hours per week term time (Monday – Friday 9:15am-2:45pm)
Start date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Preparation and serving of school lunches
• Plan menus and manage stock
• Cleaning the school kitchen
• Ordering supplies within an agreed budget
• Ensure that all hygiene and food safety requirements are being adhered to

The successful candidate will require:
• Have experience of working in a school setting or similar catering experience.
• Working knowledge of HACCP Health and Safety and allergen management
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Excellent hygiene and health and safety practices and knowledge of appropriate legislation
• Understanding of ordering and budgeting
• Relevant qualifications in food safety and/ or catering
