We seek to appoint a Pastoral Officer – Wellbeing to join an established team to support students with their wellbeing and mental health with the aim of jointly overcoming barriers to lesson attendance and encouraging good behaviour for learning.

The ideal candidate will have a presence, be fair and consistent, and be able to relate to young people in a calm, supportive and positive manner above all showing a clear sense of empathy.

The successful candidate will find the school is a purposeful and supportive learning environment, with a strong team of staff who are highly committed to raising student achievement. Each member of this team is linked to a House and works alongside the House Lead to support and motivate students in their House. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with a background in SEMH, Counselling, Mental Health or associated disciplines.

This is a permanent post. The hours of duty are 8.00am–3.45pm Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 8.00am–4.00pm Monday and Wednesday, including an unpaid break of 30 minutes each day, term time plus training days.
