Pre-School, Early Years Lead Practitioner

32.5 hours per week, term time

To start January 2026, permanent contract

Salary range £28,598 to £30,024 per annum.

Dry Drayton is a small, vibrant and friendly Church of England Primary School, set in rural Cambridgeshire. From January 2026, we are excited to be leading the provision of pre-school education in Dry Drayton from the dedicated early years classroom within our school.

We are seeking a special candidate who will:

• Collaborate with the Early Years Lead to plan and deliver a rich, stimulating, and enabling curriculum in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework (latest version).

• Lead the learning environment within the Pre-School classroom and outdoor area, ensuring it is purposeful, inclusive, and rich in spontaneous learning opportunities.

• To foster and develop the abilities, social skills and understanding of children aged 2-5 years to support their optimum development

• Lead our pre-school provision 8.30am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday, in term time. This may be negotiable for the right candidate.

• Actively participate in the planning and rota for the after-school and holiday clubs. Leading some planned sessions, as agreed with school and dependent on the needs of the setting.

You will:
• Have an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) in the Early Years or a relevant area
• Be self-motivated and enthusiastic, flexible and organised.
• Have high expectations and be creative.
• Communicate well with children, staff and parents.
• Work as an integral member of a very small team supporting the vision and Christian ethos of our school
