Salary: Point 5 to 6 £25,586 pro-rata (actual Salary £21,320) to £25,989 pro-rata (actual Salary £21,655)
Contract: 32.5 hours a week, term time only plus training days

We are seeking a level 2 teaching assistant to join our Prestley Wood Academy team at Horizons Education Trust. In this essential role, you will support teaching with pupils who have a wide range of complex needs, including challenging behaviours and autism within our area special school. The successful candidate could be asked to work with any age group in the school.
Experience of working with special needs children is desirable, but not essential. Full training and support is given.
Qualifications related to the field are desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate would need to understand and use ICT systems and write to parents/carers in home/school communication.
The post offers a good opportunity to work with supportive and friendly teams.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, health and DBS check. The school has an Induction Programme and an ongoing commitment of staff professional development.
