JOB ADVERT: 1:1 Teaching Assistant [TA]

Job title: Teaching assistant (TA) 1:1 Named Child
Salary: Grade 2, SPC 5-6
Hours: 30 hours per week [6 hours a day, with a 30 minute lunch break, 8.45am-3.15pm, Monday-Friday, term-time only]
Contract type: 1:1 Teaching Assistant post – may be linked to more than one child.
Reporting to: Class Teacher → SENDCo → Deputy Headteacher → Headteachers
Responsible for: n/a

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to join our wonderful team, likely to be supporting one or more children across the school who thrive with the support of an adult.

The candidate will:
• Be experienced in working with children
• Be passionate about bringing out the best in everyone, including themselves
• Understand how to support children through a positive approach to behaviour and be passionate about supporting all pupils within an inclusive classroom.
• Be fully committed to going above and beyond to safeguard children
• Be able to motivate others and work as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills
• Be an excellent communicator with a calm disposition and welcoming manner
• Be able to develop strong relationships with parents and the wider community
• Show a commitment to their professional development through recent qualifications or a desire to undertake further study
• Be able to stay calm under pressure, resilient in even the trickiest of situations
