is seeking to appoint an

Assistant Headteacher

Payscale: L1 – L4

Commencing: April 2026 or September 2026

Pathfinder CoE Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a committed Assistant Headteacher to join a vibrant team of enthusiastic, hardworking individuals.

About Role

We are looking for an experienced leader who will act as an excellent role model; exemplifying a high standard of teaching and promoting high expectations for all members of the school community. For further information about the role, please download the job description attached.

About you:

Be a reflective practitioner with strong leadership skills
Have experience of leading an aspect of the curriculum
Have experience of developing and implementing teaching and learning initiatives
Have experience of teaching within Key Stage 2
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Be enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving children’s life chances through education
Be highly organised, conscientious and able to set clear priorities when managing a busy workload
Be able to work cooperatively and communicate clearly with fellow colleagues, parents and pupils
Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and able to work flexibly and professionally
Share our vision and values and be ready to contribute to school life beyond the classroom
