SEND Teaching Assistant: 1B, Salary FTE £24,796

29.16 hours a week. Part-Time will be considered, whole days are preferable.

Sawtry Infant School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support teaching with pupils who have a wide range of complex needs, including challenging behaviours and autism within our school. The successful candidate could be asked to work with any age group in the school but primarily in Year 1 with a child with additional needs.

Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable, but not essential. Full training and support are given.

This is a temporary (named child contract) position in the first instance, likely needed until August 2027 and it is term time only. There is the possibility of the post being made permanent if school budgets and need allow.
