St Helen’s Primary School is a welcoming and well-regarded foundation primary school serving children aged 4–11 in the village of Bluntisham, Cambridgeshire. The school is a thriving, educational setting with a strong sense of community and a supportive, family-focused ethos. It currently educates around 189 pupils, offering a friendly, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to flourish academically and personally.

The school values respectful, resilient and compassionate learners and works closely with families and the wider community to ensure pupils reach their full potential. Staff are dedicated to delivering an engaging and broad curriculum that supports both academic progress and personal development. Pupils benefit from a calm, nurturing environment where kindness and positive behaviour are promoted, and where they feel safe and supported.

St Helen’s was judged Good at its most recent Ofsted inspection, “Pupils are happy at this welcoming village school. They enjoy learning and playing together. Playtimes are calm and happy. Pupils play together kindly. They say, ‘the teachers are kind and everyone is nice’.”

Governance at the school is collaborative, with governors providing strategic oversight and working closely with leaders to drive continuous improvement.

The school plays a central role in the village community and prides itself on strong communication with families, regular engagement activities and a shared vision for success.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.

Please see the accompanying welcome pack to learn more about the position.
