Following the retirement of our long-standing Deputy Headteacher, The Beeches Primary School, Peterborough, is seeking to appoint an exceptional and motivated leader with a passion for education and the knowledge, skills, and experience to work in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team to build on our strong foundations and drive the school forward.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, self-motivated and resilient leader to support the next phase of the school’s development, building on recent improvements in outcomes while addressing the very real challenges of disadvantage and SEND.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to drive school improvement, uphold our high standards, and support the continued development of our inclusive, nurturing, and aspirational school community.
The Headteacher and governing board seek a candidate who is an excellent leader and has:
– Strong leadership experience within a primary school setting
– A clear passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning
– The ability to lead, inspire, motivate, and support colleagues and pupils
– A proven track record of improving pupil outcomes and contributing to whole-school improvement
– Experience of leading key areas such as deprivation, inclusion, EYFS, behaviour, curriculum, or assessment
– A strong commitment to improving outcomes for EAL and disadvantaged pupils
– High expectations and aspirations for all pupils
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
– A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships
– The ability to inspire, challenge, and support both staff and pupils
– A willingness to work in partnership with the Governing Body and Local Authority
– A commitment to ongoing professional development, including accredited leadership training
– Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude in all aspects of work at The Beeches Primary School
Applicants are likely to have had experience serving in a Leadership Team and are able to demonstrate evidence of working in or towards role of Deputy Headteacher.
