1:1 TA (part-time working Weds/Thurs/Fri)

We are looking for a part-time Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a named child in Reception, starting with immediate effect. Hours of work: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:45am-3:30pm, term-time only.

Contract type: part-time, 3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), term-time only.
Reporting to: Class Teacher, SENCO and Headteacher
Responsible for: Supporting a 1:1 child with an EHCP

We are seeking a flexible, motivated TA who is enthusiastic, creative and able to join our small, friendly school. The TA will be supporting a child in Reception with multiple learning needs.
We are looking for a TA who:
 is committed to raising achievement for all of our pupils
 is able to build positive relationships with pupils, promoting high self-esteem and independence
 can adapt their communication style to respond to pupils according to their individual needs
 can support pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs, escalating concerns where appropriate
 promotes high standards of behaviour, responding to incidents in line with the school’s behaviour policy and guidelines on physical intervention
 can work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers
 will assist with playtime and lunchtime supervision
 will work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, Prevent) and our safeguarding and child protection policies
 will promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school
