We are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant for September 2026 to work 1:1 with a named child in Reception. Job-share arrangements also considered, term-time only.

Salary: National Joint Pay Scale: Level 2 point 5/6
Contract type: part-time or full-time, term-time only.
Reporting to: Class Teacher, SENCO and Headteacher
Responsible for: Supporting a 1:1 child with an EHCP

We are seeking a flexible, motivated TA who is enthusiastic, creative and able to join our small, friendly school from September 2026. The TA will be supporting a child in Reception with multiple learning needs.

This is a full-time position, but part-time applications are also welcome (with days to be discussed at interview).

We are looking for a TA who:
 is committed to raising achievement for all of our pupils
 is able to build positive relationships with pupils, promoting high self-esteem and independence
 can adapt their communication style to respond to pupils according to their individual needs
 can support pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs, escalating concerns where appropriate
 promotes high standards of behaviour, responding to incidents in line with the school’s behaviour policy and guidelines on physical intervention
 can work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers
 will assist with playtime and lunchtime supervision
 will work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, Prevent) and our safeguarding and child protection policies
 will promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school
