At the William Stukeley CE Primary School, we pride ourselves on being a happy, inclusive and caring school, where every child is welcomed, valued and supported to achieve their very best. Our vision – for children to Read, Think, Respect and Aspire to help them to ‘Dream it. Learn it. Be it. – underpins everything we do, helping children to become independent, resilient and aspirational members of our community.
Our school is located in the growing market town of Holbeach, in South Lincolnshire. We are a happy and inclusive Church of England Primary School, with 306 pupils on roll. Our dedicated staff team work hard to provide opportunities for lifelong learning, to raise aspirations and to provide the best possible experiences and education for our pupils. We want children to be ambitious, and to exceed expectations.
Our school is set in beautiful grounds which offer a fabulous learning environment and plentiful opportunities for outdoor learning. We are immensely proud of our school and our pupils and are looking for a new teacher to be part of our friendly team.
The successful candidate will:
• Be an excellent Early Years practitioner, skilled in delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate teaching and learning.
• Understand the importance of a rich curriculum, purposeful play and high-quality interactions. They will have a proven ability to secure strong outcomes for all children, including those with SEND, ensuring every child makes excellent progress from their unique starting points.
• Hold high expectations for every child, rooted in the belief that all children can thrive, achieve and flourish when provided with the right balance of nurture, challenge and high-quality early learning experiences. They will understand the importance of early language, early reading, and the foundations of mathematics in shaping future success.
• Share our conviction in the transformative power of Early Years education, recognising its critical role in building confident, curious, resilient and independent learners. They will understand how secure early foundations support children to become aspirational young people who are ready for the next stage of their learning and life.
• Demonstrate highly effective behaviour management, grounded in warm, responsive relationships, co-regulation and the development of children’s self-regulation skills. Their practice will reflect the school’s Christian values of responsibility, resilience and kindness, modelling positive interactions and supporting children to develop empathy, respect and emotional literacy.
• Work collaboratively as part of our hardworking, talented and friendly EYFS and whole-school team, contributing positively to our inclusive, nurturing and joyful school community. They will help create an environment where children feel welcomed, valued and valuable, and where families are active partners in their child’s learning journey.
In return, we will provide:
• A strong commitment to high-quality professional development, with access to a wide range of training and opportunities to work alongside experienced educational professionals, both internally and externally.
• A supportive, dedicated and collaborative staff team with a strong sense of community and shared purpose.
• The opportunity to work in a school with a caring Christian ethos, where both staff and pupils are encouraged to make a positive difference in the world.
• A welcoming, safe and inspiring environment where everyone is valued and respected.
• A culture that prioritises staff wellbeing, where views are listened to, support is readily available, and colleagues genuinely look out for one another.
• A positive, inclusive atmosphere with a strong team spirit and sense of belonging.
• The chance to work with our fantastic children, who are enthusiastic, respectful and proud to embody our school values.
