SEN Teaching Assistant & Midday Supervisor
Temporary Fixed Term (until August 2027)

Role details:
• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant in our Woodland class for children with pre-verbal Autism Spectrum Disorder, & Midday Supervisor
• Hours: Part-time: 8.40am to 3.35pm (Mon–Thu), 8.40am to 1.30pm (Fri), term-time only (38 weeks)
• TA Pay: Level 2, Point 5 – £14.63/hour (28 hours/week)
• Midday Supervisor Pay: Level 1C, Point 2 – £12.26/hour (2.5 hours/week)
• Contract: Temporary, fixed term until August 2027, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, subject to funding.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is motivated and enthusiastic about supporting children with significant Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who are at the very start of their learning journey in our dedicated classroom.
• Has a calm, caring, and patient approach, creating a safe and supportive environment.
• Is proactive and willing to learn on the job, showing flexibility and a positive attitude when faced with new challenges.
• Communicates effectively with children and adults; builds strong relationships with pupils, colleagues & families.
• Is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children, helping them achieve their potential and celebrate success.
• Holds high expectations for themselves and the pupils they support, promoting independence and confidence even in those with significant needs.
