Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Assistant who has advanced IT skills to join our busy Academy team. This is a varied and rewarding role providing essential administrative support across multiple functions, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage assessment data within Arbor and other relevant systems, ensuring records are accurate, reliable and maintained effectively.
– Produce, distribute and analyse assessment information to monitor pupil progress, identify trends and support comparison against internal and national benchmarks.
– To manage the administration of all statutory tests and data submissions, ensuring that statutory information is prepared, validated and sent to the Department for Education at the appropriate points.
– Running the termly Census, checking funded, extended and paid hours for EY, resolving any errors or queries, inputting data such as FSM and suspensions.
– Create and maintain the school timetable on Arbor as required.
– Prepare the academic year roll-up on Arbor and provide staff and pupils with timetables as appropriate.
– Coordinate administration of Parents’ Evenings and update academy calendars and website.
– Be part of the team that –
– Provides reception and front-of-house support, welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries from parents, staff and external stakeholders.
– Provides administrative support across the Academy using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Arbor and other relevant systems.
– Manage telephone enquiries, directing calls and taking accurate messages.
– Maintain accurate pupil and parental records within Arbor.
– Provide first aid support to pupils/staff and support emergency and evacuation procedures.

We are looking for someone who:

– Has previous administrative experience (school environment desirable)
– Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
– Has strong ICT skills, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
– Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Can manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, is flexible, reliable, and able to use initiative
– Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times
– Is willing to undertake training, including First Aid

Hours – 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:00pm (3:30pm on Friday)
Term time (including 5 INSET Days).

Salary – Level 2A point 3 (£12.85 per hour).

Contract – Permanent
