Overview

Significantly reduce the risk of a negative OFSTED finding and any associated negative impact on OFSTED rating with our virtual Safer Recruitment Admin Workshop.

Join our safer recruitment expert, Beth Alberga, as she advises on how to keep your School or Trust compliant with the latest legislation and good practice requirements.  She will cover:

  • the compliance aspects of employment
  • safer recruitment protocols, including online searches
  • how to scrutinise the application form and other recruitment processes
  • how to undertake appropriate pre-employment checks, including DBS
  • how to create and maintain an effective SCR and personnel file
  • the retention requirements to abide by for different documents

On completion of this session, you’ll be able to confidently review your own practices and take away and apply practical measures to ensure compliance.

Meet our trainer

Beth Alberga, Safer Recruitment Consultant

Beth’s background in safeguarding and safer recruitment spans over 10 years. Her education experience includes work as a qualified trainer, having completed the Safer Recruitment Consortium training as well as her years of service with EPM. Beth is part of the South East England Safeguarding Network Group whose aim is to keep safeguarding high on everybody’s agenda. She is also part of both regional groups and national forums that share best practice and develop policy as part of a DfE working group, formed during consultation for the KCSIE 2016, 2018 and 2019 documents.
