Financial benefits
- Generous pension scheme – We match a contribution of 4.5% of your salary (you can pay more into your pension scheme if you wish).
- Annual bonus – Your hard work through the year is rewarded with a non-contractual Christmas bonus in the form of store vouchers.
- Colleague referral scheme – We trust our employees to know who would fit in well here. If we hire anyone you suggest, you’ll get a referral bonus of up to £500.
- Maternity benefits – We offer a generous maternity package on top of Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP). If you adopt, you can take up to 2 weeks’ maternity leave.
- Paternity leave – You can take up to 2 weeks’ paternity leave following the birth or adoption of your child, on top of your Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP).
- Financial advice and guidance – We can refer you to an external expert for advice on how to save and invest your money.
Health
- Health and wellbeing assessments (optional) – We regularly invite the University of Hertfordshire to come in and carry out free Boditrax scans. These help you to set, track and achieve your personal health and wellbeing goals.
- Cycle to Work scheme – This means you could save at least 25% on the high-street value of a bicycle, and also spread the cost.
- Bupa EAP and cash plan – If you join the cash plan, you can claim back the cost of health and wellbeing activities. The EAP offers counselling and practical advice on a wide range of topics.
- Wellbeing events – We offer a range of wellbeing sessions including meditation, yoga and expert speakers.
- Sick pay – If you’re absent from work due to illness, we offer enhanced company sick pay to support you through periods of illness.
- Free breakfast and fruit – It can be a rush to get out of the house in the morning, but don’t worry! Free cereals and fruit are available all day.
Work-life balance
- Generous annual leave – This increases with service. Full-time employees get 26 days when they join, with up to a further 7 days with long-term service.
- Early Friday finish – Get your weekend off to a great start by finishing at 4.30pm every Friday.
- Flexible working – We offer a range of options. For example, while our core working hours are 8.30am – 5.00pm, you can vary them by 30 minutes. This could support the school run, help you beat the evening traffic, or ensure you can meet a friend or go to the gym at lunchtime.
Social events
Getting together for an activity is a great way to get to know colleagues and strengthen teams. We organise events such as theatre trips, nights at the races, and the ‘EPM Fest’.
