We are excited to introduce a new and rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and motivated Outdoor Learning Practitioner to join our school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and develop outdoor learning across the school, helping children to discover, explore and thrive through meaningful experiences in the natural environment. We are looking for someone with a passion for learning outdoors who can inspire curiosity, resilience, confidence and a love of the natural world.
Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will plan and deliver high-quality outdoor learning experiences that enrich the curriculum and support children's academic, personal, social and emotional development.
The Role
As our Outdoor Learning Practitioner, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging outdoor learning sessions for pupils across the school (dedicated planning time will be provided).
Use the outdoor environment to enhance learning across a range of curriculum subjects.
Foster children's confidence, resilience, teamwork and wellbeing through outdoor experiences.
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to embed outdoor learning within the wider curriculum.
Ensure all outdoor activities are safe, inclusive and meet safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
Develop, manage and maintain outdoor learning spaces and resources.
Adapt activities to meet the needs of pupils of all abilities.
Monitor and report on pupils' participation and progress.
Promote positive behaviour and model the school's values at all times.
Undertake relevant professional development, including Forest School and Paediatric First Aid training where required.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.
We are looking for someone who:
Has a passion for outdoor education and inspiring children to learn through nature.
Is enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated.
Can build positive relationships with children, staff and families.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Is committed to inclusion and ensuring every child can access outdoor learning opportunities.
Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
Is willing to develop professionally through training and continued learning.
Forest School qualifications and Paediatric First Aid certification are desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate
We can offer you:
The opportunity to develop an exciting new provision within our school.
Enthusiastic, curious and engaged children.
A supportive and welcoming staff team.
Opportunities for high-quality professional development.
A school committed to promoting creativity, wellbeing and learning beyond the classroom.
If you are passionate about inspiring children through outdoor learning, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact the school office on office@manea.cambs.sch.uk.
